Strategic cooperation management for executive employees of cooperations for women entrepreneurs from South Asia and South Africa (SADC) on behalf of InWEnt gGmbH
Baden-Württemberg International had been assigned with the design and realisation of a Winter School in the framework of the project "Chamber and Advisory Network for Women Entrepreneurs – Training and capacity building (South Africa and South Asia), regional cooperation (SADC and SAARC) and international networking (Chance)".
InWEnt –Capacity Building International, Germany - is operating worldwide and dedicated to human resource development, advanced training and dialogue. The Capacity Building Programmes are addressed to experts and management in the fields of policy, administration, economy and civil society. Commissioned by the German Federal Government, InWEnt is contributing to the realisation of the UN Development Goals and giving advice to the German economy regarding Public-Private-Partnership projects.
From November 22nd until November 28th, 2009 as the first activity of the component “Regional Networking”, bw-i realised a Winter School in Chennai, India with the topic "Strategic cooperation management". Executive employees of cooperations for women entrepreneurs and chamber and advisory networks of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) got together for one week in the Winter School and received specific training tailored for their individual needs.
Besides the obligatory course "Management of Cooperations and Networks" which promotes the organisational and cooperational abilities and the development of adjusted cooperation strategies, experienced female multipliers associated with German and international cooperations for women entrepreneurs and chamber and advisory networks offered several freely selectable modules.
The aim of the InWEnt programme is to encourage women from South Africa and South Asia in their role as entrepreneurs. Cooperations for women entrepreneurs, SME and vocational education centres, chambers of commerce and exhibition corporations are supported in order to professionalise their services and their function as business intermediaries. An additional aim is the networking of German and European cooperations for women entrepreneurs and advisory networks to exchange experiences and to build up contacts. The by bw-i appointed experts are active on cooperation level in the field of promotion of women in the economy and therefore they will be capable to establish first networking contacts on location.
